Thoughts from the T-Shirt Lady

That’s right - we are taking part in another bloggy giveaways carnival that is being hosted by Melanie at Don’t Try This at Home  This giveaway goes from April 21st to April 25th.

I was going to host my own Bloggy Giveaway, but when I found out that the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival was happening now, I thought this would be so much better. Not only can you enter my contest, but you can enter tons more!

Our prizes - there are 3 - are something that I made to use as gifts for friends and family members. But I ran out of fabric, and only ended up with 3 of these delightful reversible placemats. So I made matching beverage coasters - 2 of them to go with each placemat. Because the fabric used is Disney fabric, and I can’t sell anything that I make using it - I decided to give them away! GOOD LUCK!!! 

We will have 3 winners - each one receiving a reversible placemat and 2 matching coasters.

The placemat is reversible - the picture below is the front or top. It is approx 15″ wide x 12″ high. The fabric is 100% cotton, pre-washed. There is a layer of batting inside for softness. The edges are serged with a locking stitch. It’s machine washable and dryable.

The next picture is the back or bottom. It’s a really pretty purpley spotchy fabric (the photo does not do it justice). You will notice that there is a heart shaped stitch on the back. Actually, that’s an outline stitch of one of the hearts on the front - so that the fabric doesn’t shift in washing.

The last picture is a sample of the beverage coasters - 2 of them - which are included with your placemat. The picture shows the back on the left, and the front on the right.

I have started Sandi’s T’s with a bang this new year of 2008! I am running a contest all year long. Check it out!

The prizes? Free Tee Shirts! For the year of 2007, I created tee shirts to take to craft shows. Now I am ready to give them away to some lucky winners. They are brand new and never been worn.

Why am I giving away free tee shirts, instead of trying to sell them? As I say on my website, the designs that are ordered are not created until you order them. That’s right, we are finally having our Blog Giveaway. This is the first time I have sponsored a giveaway on my Blog and I’m very excited about it. Our giveaway starts today, and ends Sunday, November 25th. Just in time, for the winner to receive the prizes that I have included, and to decorate for Christmas.

The winner is going to receive the beautiful lace window hangings pictured below.

These items are direct from Germany. My mother and I visited there several years ago when my daughter and her husband were stationed over there. Every day, when we walk through the towns, we would see items like these and other pictures made from lace, hanging in the windows. They were so great! You will love them too.

These items can be hung in the window like sun catchers, and I’ll even include the suction cups for you. They are treated with a special finish to stiffen the fiber to make them last for years.

I was recently searching for information at Word Press, and ran across a post about a blog site doing a giveaway. Rocks in My Dryer

Really neat site, interesting posts and lots of imagination. Her blog giveaway was coming up very quickly, when I found her site, so I didn’t have time to get anything set up to participate. But it gave me some ideas.

Several times a year, I have a contest going on my website Sandi’s T’s and we will be having one for Christmas, coming soon.

I thought it would be really neat to have a giveaway on my blog as well. Not sure how many people will leave comments - the way to be entered - but it will be fun to read them. And be assured that the giveaways that I will do will be high quality and you will love them.
